Thing #14

Today I had to visit the websites that help create a mind map and flowchart. My instructions are to explore one of each site and tell which ones, and describe why I chose them.

I chose to use MindMeister Mind Mapping Site for my mind map. This tool is amazing. I chose this site because I loved all of the different ideas that I saw immediately within seconds of creating my free account. By using the mind map, you can create lists of things to do, vacation plans, and there is even one on here about blogging becoming our future. There are many varieties of mind maps that have already been created for you to use as examples. You can create a mind map of anything! If you have something in your mind that you want to save, and not forget (all of us do that) then MindMeister is a great place to create your ideas and you can save and even share them! If you happen to find a mind map that someone else has created publicly and you want to keep it for future reference, you can click on the "clone" button and it will save to your account! There are endless opportunities with this tool. This will be so very helpful to me as a teacher. I know as a teacher I will constantly have new ideas for lessons and this will be a great tool to use to create my ideas and save them, and I can even add to it anytime I want!

I chose to use Flowchart.com as the tool for my flowcharts. I chose this site because it has many options for you to create your flowchart the exact way you would like it to look. This site has many different options to allow creativity, even clipart! I like that you can record your flowchart and share it. It will be wonderful as a teacher to be able to create a flowchart and easily share it with my students in class. A flowcart is a great way to break down points to help give students a visual of a concept and all of its parts. I will definitely use this tool when I become a teacher. I think it will be very helpful!
